Taylor, Frederick, Private, 71805, 11th Battalion, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment
Frederick was the second son of Robert (1863-1895) and Emma (née Radford, 1861-1918) Taylor. They married in 1881 and their first child, John Edward (1881-1943) was born shortly after. The other children were Ada (b. 1886), Jane (1886-1890) and Samuel (b. 1889)

In 1891, the family were living in Brockley, Spondon, they moved to Coxon Street, then Moor End. Frederick was born and educated in Spondon, and then worked as a gardener.

He was killed in action 7th June 1917 (probably in the Battle of Messines) and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ieper (Ypres).

There seems to be no close family connection to William Taylor.
